I thought for this Saturday's feature, I'd go all unashamedly girlie with my personal ten favourite gowns from the Spring 2012 collections. Some are short, some are big, some have pretty details and others are quite plain but to me, they've got that certain something.
So, enjoy this dose of weekend dress related heaven - which one is your top choice? My shortlist, in no particular order...
Above - Badgley Mischka - That bodice, that detailing at the waist and the wonderfully different train. Love this gown.
Above - David Fielden - I love the one-shoulder look here, it's different, it's elegant and that nipped in waist is very flattering. Gorgeous sheath gown.
Above - Jim Hjelm - The elaborate skirt here is a great contrast to the plain bodice and that sash is a perfect waist-accentuating touch.
Above - Kevan Hall White Label - I've featured this gown before and I still absolutely love it. The neckline is interesting, the sash at the waist and that layered and embellished skirt put this one very high on my list of 'would love to wear'.
Above - Monique Lhuillier - I have a thing for deep v-necklines so this design ticks that box and the skirt is a bit of a showstopper.
Above - Oscar de la Renta - so so pretty, I go a little gooey looking at this gown. The simple sheath styling with the addition of that gorgeous detailing is an absolute winner. I also love the colouring at the bottom of the gown too. Do you think I could have this one just to wear about the house?!
Above - Reem Acra - another oh-so perfect design. The styling around the neck is just beautiful and the layered skirt is so feminine, it's heavenly.
Above - Robert Bullock Bride - another plunging neck and waist defining sash make this a hit with me but I love the soft detailing on those shoulders that stop this gown looking too stark. Adore that sweet train too.
Above - Romona Keveza - uber elegant, this gown is utterly divine with a touch of the beauty of a bygone era. The scalloped lace neckline is so beautiful and I love to see a gown with sleeves. Perfect for a glam celebration, this is old school wedding style.
Above - Vera Wang - beautiful beautiful beautiful. The detailing on that overlay is beautiful, that sash is a beautiful colour and the figure hugging form of this gown could make it a bride's best friend. Gorgeous.
